The airline operates 19-seat Twin-Otter and 9-seat Britton-Normand Islander aircraft. Winair has provided safe, efficient air transportation in the North Eastern Caribbean for over 40 years. NOTE: If you have already purchased your Winair tickets from another company or directly from Winair or Winair's website, please note we are unable to assist with changes or refunds. You will need to contact the company where you purchased your tickets or contact Winair directly at 011-599-545-4237. Thank you. PAYMENT & TICKETING: To make a reservation and purchase a ticket, complete our online reservation request form or send us an email or fax containing: Dates and destination that you would like Details of your international flight if you are connecting the same day (airline and arrival/departure times) Names of all passengers and ages of any children travelling with you Your contact information - phone/fax/email and address We will then contact you with a recommended flight itinerary and price. If acceptable to you, simply fax or email back the credit card portion of the price quote. You can pay by certified check, money order, bank transfer, or credit card. Upon receipt of payment, we email your Electronic Ticket(s). If paying by credit card, we accept: American Express, Master Card, Visa. TRAVEL AGENTS: We can make the reservation for you or you can simply send us details of any booking that you have already made. Please email or fax the passengers' requirements or existing PNR, together with your contact information and address. We will then make a tentative booking and/or send you an invoice to be paid by check or credit card. Upon receipt of payment, we email you Electronic Ticket(s). Fares may be higher on certain dates/times. We will quote you the lowest and the exact fare once you have made a tentative booking. ~~~~~ FARE RULES: All tickets are Electronic Tickets. We do NOT issue paper tickets. Some tickets are nonrefundable and other tickets are refundable provided you cancel your booking ahead of the travel date. In that case, there is a cancellation fee of $70 per person. Tickets are valid for 1 year from date of issue or date of travel, and changes to flights/dates are permitted (subject to availability) for a fee of $35 per person. In purchasing a ticket from New Concepts, you and all parties traveling agree not to hold New Concepts (or its owners/employees) liable for any damage, loss or dissatisfaction arising directly or indirectly from the various travel arrangements made by it. Carriage is subject to the applicable tariffs, conditions of carriage and related regulations available at the office of the carrier and on the carrier's website. In all cases, liability is limited to the value of any unused tickets or ticket portions. To protect against any unforeseen expenses, we always recommend that passengers purchase travel insurance from their insurance provider. Baggage Allowance & Excess Baggage Charges: Free Baggage Allowance: 1 bag weighing up to 23 kilos or 50 lbs per person. (infants - 10 kilos/22 lbs.) Plus 1 piece of Carry-On baggage weighing up to 3 kilos or 6 lbs (Carry-on bag must fit under seat in front of you: 10 x 10 x 14 inches or 25 x 25 x 35 cm) Approximate charges for excess baggage vary between $25 and $60 per additional bag and are carried on a stand-by basis. Documentation: Passengers are responsible to ensure that they have all necessary travel documents for the countries being visited. This would include a valid passport, plus in some cases, depending on nationality, a visa may be required (no visa currently required for USA or Canadian passport holders). Winair and New Concepts assume no responsibility if passengers are refused travel due to lack of passport and/or visa. Recommended Connection Times to/from Other Airlines: From an international flight to Winair: 90 minutes From Winair to an international flight: 2 hour St.Maarten Airport/SXM: St.Maarten (and sometimes Antigua) is most likely your point of arrival in the Caribbean, and where you will connect to Winair. It is advisable to have Winair E-tickets in hand before you arrive in St. Maarten. One thing to remember -- planes do not fly to St. Barths (SBH) at night (no lights at the airport!) so if you are going to St.Barths, you have to arrive on St. Maarten in time to catch the last flight of the day which is usually around 5pm. If at all possible, bring only carry-on luggage. This will ensure that you be able to use the In Transit Gate and avoid the customs lines. If you have to check luggage, there are certain airlines that will check all the way through. US Airways will usually check your bags all the way. Some people have had success checking their bags through with KLM, Delta and Continental.
